The first annual Leesburg Volksmarch For Veterans non-competitive walk will be held on November 11th, 2015 at the George C. Marshall International Center from 1pm-5pm. This a fundraising event for the VFW Post #1177 of Loudoun County and sponsors include Booz Allen Hamilton and Toth Financial Services.
Walkers may choose from two walking routes: 5k and 10k. Both routes will traverse historical downtown Leesburg and surrounding neighborhoods as well as portions of Ida Lee Park. The 10K loop includes additional parks and a portion of the W&OD Trail. Walkers will get an overall glimpse of Leesburg’s homes, parks, churches, and businesses.
Walkers may start anytime after 1pm, but we encourage 10k walkers to start before 2pm and 5k to start before 3pm to allow adequate time to complete the route and enjoy refreshments after the walk before both routes closes at 5:30pm. Food and alcohol (beer and wine) will be provided at the event from 12PM to 5PM).
Donations will be $25 per person or $40 per family, which includes includes 1 shirt for single walkers and 2 shirts for the family registration. Additional shirts are available for $10 each either online or on the day of the event (as last). Registration will open September 15th, 2015 and 100% of the donation is tax deductible.

The VFW membership includes over 200 veterans who have served our country during wars such as World War II, Desert Shield/Desert Storm, and the current Global War on Terror.
